Annual wildflowers, with their vibrant colours and ephemeral beauty, add a burst of life and diversity to landscapes each year. These flowering plants complete their life cycle within a single growing season, germinating, flowering, setting seed, and then fading away, leaving behind a tapestry of colours and textures. From roadside meadows to backyard gardens, annual wildflowers are nature’s ephemeral artists, creating an ever-changing canvas.

What sets annual wildflowers apart from typical perennial wildflowers or biennial wildflowers is their adaptability and resilience. Thriving in various climates and soil types, they are often the first to colonise disturbed or bare areas from wildflower seeds, bringing life and colour to spaces that may otherwise go unnoticed. Beyond their visual appeal, these wildflowers play crucial roles in supporting pollinators and other wildlife, contributing to the overall health of ecosystems.

Gardeners and conservationists alike appreciate the versatility of annual wildflowers, using them to enhance biodiversity, restore habitats, or simply create visually stunning wildflower meadow displays. Whether intentionally sown in gardens or spontaneously appearing in the wild, annual wildflower species embody the transient yet captivating essence of the natural world, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the cycles of growth and renewal.

Thank you so much. Lovely strong plants, beautifully packaged, plus your very comprehensive catalogue. I’ll be back!

Jez Gladwin

The Bluebells have arrived this morning and look top class.

They will be planted later today.

Once again many thanks

Gerald Pykett

I just wanted to say thanks so much for your speedy delivery of my plants. I’m particularly excited by the yellow rattle, as I’ve been trying to grow this from seed for several years with no success at all – so I’m going out now to plant it! Thank you – I’ll definitely keep a note of your website.

Good afternoon
I just wanted to let you know that I received my Phragmites plugs today. They will be perfect for my bog area which acts as a filter from the sewage treatment plant at the house. I also wanted to thank you for your catalogue and guide. It really is the best I have seen with so much useful information. Good luck going forward.
Regards

D Norman

Hi, received this morning, so we’ll packed and in good condition.

Thanks very much.

“Always love visiting here and there was so much colour & scent this weekend!

In the cafe this time (alongside the usual favourites and Victoria sponge) there was an absolutely delicious courgette and pistachio cake which is gluten free so handy for anyone needing this option. Soya milk is now available too, so brilliant for anyone needing a dairy free option for drinks.”

Sue Lockwood

“Relaxing atmosphere with plenty natural plants & seeds to buy,

Homemade cakes, tea & coffee served in China teapot and cups.
A great refreshing time there, and staff are always helpful and kind.”

Good afternoon Naturescape,

The plants have arrived, they are beautifully packaged and all look very healthy.  Thank you so much for your kindness getting the plants to me in good time, it has made so much difference in the preparation for our visit to Eden Valley Burial Ground.

Helen Welton

Thank you. I placed my first order with you a week ago and have just received my plants and seeds. All the plants are healthy with good roots and I’ve just spent a happy hour putting the plug plants in pots, prior to planting out. We recently moved to a house with a garden which has not been touched for at least 10 years. Four months of hard work clearing things out and we’re beginning the fun part of planting up what is mostly wildflower gardens. Being impressed with your service and quality, we shall certainly return to order more plants and seeds to build on what we have begun. Thank you again. Geoff and Kath Lowe

My order arrived today, and I am delighted with the plants!  Good condition, and good quality.

And so quick! Very many thanks.

100 Galanthus nivalis ‘in the green’ arrived safely this morning. As always from Naturescape, they were in excellent condition although why I expected them not to be in flower, I have no idea since there are thousands of them in bloom across the viallage just now. I must get planting! Thank you!
