Description
Nymphaea ‘Mrs Richmond’ is a striking water lily with rich, deep-pink, globe-shaped flowers that sit beautifully against broad, green foliage throughout the growing season. It is well-suited to medium and large ponds, where it thrives in still water and adds strong colour and surface cover during summer.
How to identify
This water lily is easily recognised by its rounded, deep-pink blooms and large, floating leaves, which emerge fresh green in spring and deepen in colour as the season progresses. The flowers open fully in sunshine and close again as light levels drop, creating a classic and elegant pond display.
How to grow
Nymphaea ‘Mrs Richmond’ should be planted in a mesh basket and lowered gradually to a final depth of around 35–90cm as it establishes. Grow in full sun and away from splashing fountains or pumps, as calm, undisturbed water is essential for healthy growth and flowering. Remove dead leaves and spent flowers regularly to keep the plant tidy and encourage continued blooms.
