Wild grasses, often overlooked but essential components of natural ecosystems, contribute to the beauty, biodiversity, and ecological balance of landscapes worldwide. These versatile plants encompass a diverse array of species, ranging from delicate tufts to robust meadow grasses, each adapted to thrive in various climates and soil conditions.

In their natural habitats, wild grasses play vital roles in preventing soil erosion, providing habitats for diverse wildlife, and participating in nutrient cycling. Beyond their ecological significance, wild grasses have gained recognition for their aesthetic appeal, contributing to the picturesque scenery of meadows, and untouched landscapes.

Gardeners and landscapers are increasingly recognising the value of incorporating wild grasses into cultivated spaces. These hardy and low-maintenance plants bring a touch of natural elegance to gardens, providing texture, movement, and a sense of wild beauty. Whether used in ornamental landscaping or ecological restoration projects, wild grasses offer a sustainable and visually striking way to connect with nature and celebrate the untamed beauty of the outdoors.

We stock a diverse selection of grass seeds that will meet these benefits.

Hi, received this morning, so we’ll packed and in good condition.

Thanks very much.

Vera Horstead

What a wonderful place to visit. A lovely and knowledgeable young lady named Keegan went the extra mile to advise me on the best plants to attract bees and helped me locate them. So much useful information in Naturescapes free catalogue & growing guide.

“Relaxing atmosphere with plenty natural plants & seeds to buy,

Homemade cakes, tea & coffee served in China teapot and cups.
A great refreshing time there, and staff are always helpful and kind.”

Jennifer Letts

“Always love visiting here and there was so much colour & scent this weekend!

In the cafe this time (alongside the usual favourites and Victoria sponge) there was an absolutely delicious courgette and pistachio cake which is gluten free so handy for anyone needing this option. Soya milk is now available too, so brilliant for anyone needing a dairy free option for drinks.”

Sue Lockwood

Just had my first order and I’m so pleased with the quality of the plants and the superb condition they arrived in, thank you so much for a very fast and efficient service and such healthy vibrant plants!

Vicky Sharpe

I needed a plant to take to a natural burial ground. Tim was so helpful and gave me lots of advice. I can highly recommend.

Visited the tearoom cafe and grabbed a couple of coffees to go before having a lovely walk around the farm.

I love visiting this place at different times of the year to see all the different plants.

The Bluebells have arrived this morning and look top class.

They will be planted later today.

Once again many thanks

Gerald Pykett

The plants have arrived, they are beautifully packaged and all look very healthy.  Thank you so much for your kindness getting the plants to me in good time, it has made so much difference in the preparation for our visit to Eden Valley Burial Ground.

Helen Welton

Lovely place to walk around and visit. Lots to see in different areas, with all types of wildflower. Had a jacket potato in the cafe and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again.

Beverley Holmes

I just wanted to say thanks so much for your speedy delivery of my plants. I’m particularly excited by the yellow rattle, as I’ve been trying to grow this from seed for several years with no success at all – so I’m going out now to plant it! Thank you – I’ll definitely keep a note of your website.
