Armeria maritima, commonly known as thrift, sea thrift or sea pink, pink thrift or cliff clover is a herbaceous perennial with long-stalked, dense clusters of flowers. It can grow in dry, sandy, saline soil conditions such as coastal cliffs, grassland and salt marshes, salted roadsides and inland on mountain rocks. It is a common sight in British salt marshes and also does well in rock gardens wit richer soils. Flowering from late spring to late summer, pink thrift appear in a flush of flowers with a beautiful pink flower colour and leaves that resemble green grass in dense clusters.

Armeria maritima can grow up to around 19 inches tall if the conditions allow with relatively short-lived flowers from May to August. Grows best in sandy well-drained soil. Salt-tolerant.
