Description
Commonly known as broad-leaved pondweed, floating pondweed or floating-leaf pondweed. The shape of the floating leaves depends on the speed of the current, with faster current resulting in more elongate the leaves and less cordate leaf bases. During May to September, dense spikes of small yellow-green flowers are produced above the water’s surface. It is an ideal oxygenator for large, deep ponds.
