Description
Known as perennial peavine, perennial pea, broad-leaved everlasting-pea, or just everlasting pea. Bumblebees pollinate the flowers. Butterflies visit the flowers for their nectar. With tall flowering stems, lathyrus latifolius is a climbing herbaceous plant that can quickly grow from ground level to reach heights of up to 2m. Winged stems give a beautiful flower display and would do great against a sunny wall or at the back of a border. Blooms in mid to late summer. Grows well in most well-drained soil types with hairless stems producing pink flowers in summer.
Available as packets of seeds or in potted plant sizes.
