Description
Anemone nemorosa is an early-spring flowering plant in the buttercup family. Common names include wood anemone, windflower, thimbleweed, and smell fox, The plants start blooming soon after the foliage emerges from the ground or woodland floor. They like moist but well drained soil conditions, which is part shaded/partial shade. Wood Anemone has beautiful dainty white petals on a green bed of lobed leaves with a musky smell.
Plant 7-8 cm deep (2-3 inches) deep and 10-15 cm apart on their longest side. To soak in water either overnight or for a few hours is beneficial.
