Eranthis cilicica 5 – 10 cm Glossy leaves and yellow chalice-shaped flowers will carpet woodland Flowers Jan – Feb. Dispatched freshly lifted, when the bulbs are in active growth in the Spring. (Also available in the Autumn see Autumn planting section)

Description

Carpets of bright yellow, buttercup-like flowers in late January and February surrounded by ruffs of fresh green leaves. Winter Aconite likes to be planted in sun or partial shade and they thrive in moist well drained soil, adding a little garden compost or manure also helps. Plant about 5cm (2 inches) down and the same apart, soaking in water beforehand is also beneficial.
