Bulbs - Spring Planting, Collection
This collection of 5 native wildflower species will provide flowers from January right through to May. With the exception of the Wood Anemone these species are supplied as ‘bulbs in the green’; this means that they will be actively growing at the time they are sent out. The Wood Anemone are supplied as rhizomes which may or may not have shoots on. This collection is generally available from the start of February to the end of March/April, although this will vary slightly each year.

Description
Equal quantities of the following species are used in the collection:
English Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) in the green. Fragrant Blue-Violet flowers that appear April-June
Single Snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) in the green. a white drooping bell flower with green tips, flowers February-March
Wild Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) in the green. Pale yellow nodding flowers, Come up in March-April
Snakeshead (Fritillaria meleagris) Nodding chequered blooms that are now very scarce to see. Flowers March-April
Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa) rhizomes. Graceful white nodding flowers that arrive from March-May
