The water violet or feather foil is a Pale green aquatic perennial Its basal roots are buried in the underlying mud while other silvery, shiny roots dangle freely in the water. . Found in stagnant fresh waters of various size: the edges of fairly shallow lakes, ponds, silting river meanders and ditches. can be used as a mid Season oxygenater.
