Description

The water violet or feather foil is a pale green aquatic perennial Its basal roots are buried in the underlying mud while other silvery, shiny roots dangle freely in the water. Found in stagnant fresh waters of various size: the edges of fairly shallow lakes, ponds, silting river meanders and ditches. can be used as a mid season oxygenator. Hottonia palustris is an aquatic plant with white or lilac flowers that can thrive in pond water on the waters surface with a shallow planting depth.
