Ideal for wet areas, often displays a ping tinge in cold weather and the foliage is sweetly fragrant when bruised, its also quite versatile in the garden and makes a terrific foliage accent in water gardens and around ponds.
Acorus calamus variegata. Non native. Very attractive green and white striped leaves provide a focus in the water garden. Not as strongly scented as the regular variety. Found in wet areas and ditches, pond edges etc.
