Description

Commonly known as Wild Teasel or Fuller’s Teasel, The seeds and seed heads are an important winter food resource for some birds. Teasels are a fantastic wildflower plant often grown in gardens and deployed on some nature reserves to attract various birds and other wildlife. The height of this ornamental plant means the conical structure can add height and interest to any plant displays. A biennial plant, teasels are mid to late summer flowering and prefer moist soils. Common teasel is a great food source for seed-eating birds as the head of each flower holds such a high quantity of seeds.

Available to buy as seed packets, plugs, and as 9cm potted plants. This plant produces lilac flowers and enjoys full sun in summer. It is also a great source of nectar for bees.
