NCA1 Standard Cornfield Annuals Mix
Seed Mixture (Per kg)
A mix of 5 native annual wildflower species. NCA1 is best sown either on its own or included as part of a perennial wildflower meadow mix, to give some colour in the first year while the perennial species become established. When sowing alone the soil will need to be disturbed each Autumn to produce a flowering the following season. Once a common sight in the cornfields of the UK, these vibrant flowers were driven from the fields through advances in herbicides. Some of the easiest wildflowers to grow, providing a vivid riot of colour in the early summer. Unlike most wildflowers, the species in this mix will tolerate soils of high fertility.
