Description

Characteristic of soils on chalk or limestone, growing in grassland, meadows, lawns and waste places The plant is edible. Archeological finds testify to its use during the Roman era in Britain. Ribbed leaves create a bed of basal rosette at the base of flower stem with flower spikes of delicate pink-white flowers that have a vanilla scent.

Great for chalky calcareous soils or dry grassy meadows.
