Greater Snowdrops in the green (Galanthus elwesii)

Galanthus elwesii 15 – 20 cm. A snowdrop with wide leaves and a double marked flower. Flowers very early and is often the first to appear in the season; flowering late December to February. Damp woods and river banks.

Dispatched freshly lifted, when the bulbs are in active growth in the spring. Order year round.

The giant snowdrop has larger flowers and broader leaves than the more common G. nivalis ,but grows to the same 4 inches tall and wide. Its white, nodding blooms appear in late winter, signalling spring around the corner.

These snowdrops like full sun to partial shade and moist well drained soil.

Plant about 8-10cm deep.
