Trollius europaeus The only wild plant with flowers that look like orbed moons of pale yellow. Flowers: May-Aug. Requires: Damp Height: 30 – 60 cm. Zone AB
The name “globe flower” refers to the petals of T. europaeus which are curved over the top of the flower, forming a globe. Globeflower grows especially on Lappish meadows, broad-leaved forests and rich marshs.
