Viola riviniana P. Very showy woodland or hedgerow plant Blue flowers (unscented). Will self seed along shaded pathways. Delightful in spring sunshine. Flowers: April-June. Requires: Part shade. Height: 5 – 10cm
The common dog-violet is also called wood violet. can be spotted in a range of habitats from woodland to grassland, hedgerows to pastures. Its flowers are not scented.
