Description

Ajuga reptans is commonly known as bugle, blue bugle, bugleherb, bugleweed, carpetweed, carpet bugleweed, and common bugle and traditionally but less commonly as St. Lawrence plant. Grown as a garden plant it provides useful groundcover, flowers in spring and can be grown in poor soils. Bugle prefers dappled shade and can be suited to a shady border with damp soils. Bugle is also known as “carpenter’s herb” due to its supposed ability to stem bleeding. These Ajuga plants create a thick display of blue flowers up the plant’s stem. Growing to a height of around 15cm they make excellent ground cover plants and are a good sized plant for front of garden borders. In partial shade, plant in spring or autumn when the soil is warm and moist.

We offer a wide range of options for buying bugle plants including seeds, plugs, and 9cm pots. Always at a great price. Liven up your garden with this attractive plant.
